"Music photography is about capturing the soul of the artist, not just their image."
Anton Corbijn
Capturing the sound
Music photography is a vibrant dance of light, energy, and emotion, capturing the essence of live performances and the intimate connection between artists and their audience. Each click of the shutter freezes moments of raw passion, from the electrifying strum of a guitar to the euphoric crowd surging in unison. The candid expressions and dynamic movements tell a story far beyond the notes played, creating a visual symphony that resonates long after the last chord fades. With every frame, a photographer encapsulates the heartbeat of the music scene, preserving fleeting memories of unforgettable nights filled with rhythm and camaraderie.
Most of my shots have been taken from the crowd, at various thrilling gigs I have enthusiastically attended. Using nothing more than my trusty Google Pixel phone, I’ve managed to capture some truly amazing moments from these incredible acts. Performers such as Bilmuri, Sleep Token, Architects, and You Me At Six have all graced the stage, providing unforgettable experiences that I just had to document.
